Well, the wait is over. I spotted a couple baby cherry shrimp around the algae wafer I dropped in for the otos tonight. This obviously piqued my attention, and as I took a closer look at the tank, I probably spotted ten baby shrimp no bigger than the shrimp I got in my original shipment. Very exciting!
This means they have at least a fighting chance against the zodiac loach. He's not interested/skillful enough to find them and eat them at birth. The best part is, there are still several very pregnant shrimp lumbering around, so the tank may get very crowded very quickly. Not that I'm complaining.
I'd love to get pictures, but they're so small, I'm going to need a better camera before I can get any quality shots. Rest assured, it is very amusing to see miniature versions of the adults eating algae wafers side-by-side.
